Nura has attended ESOL classes at Stone Hall for the last two years.

Her goal is to be able to improve her job prospects and to live life independently. Over the two years she has been with us she has faced many personal issues – including becoming homeless.

Throughout all her troubles she has shown great determination to continue her studies.

Her tutor says,

“Inspite of everything she has gone through it hasn’t stopped her being a motivated cheerful learner in all lessons. In fact she is always so positive she often cheers up the whole class!”

She has so far improved her English skills so that she feels able to converse in English with doctors and teachers and to communicate more confidently in other everyday situations.

Nura has dealt with and overcome a lot of personal issues which would have many others simply give up. Instead she is taking great steps to make a better life for herself.
