While studying as a Life Coach Shaista also started another journey of learning.
Having first started a sewing course at beginners level she is now nearing completion of her Sewing – Level 2 qualification.
Throughout all her studies Shaista has worked very hard and completed all her allocated tasks on time. She has always shown great commitment and endless enthusiasm for the subject. Always a great support to others in the class she has even created learning resources to help them. She is also the admin for a learner WhatsApp group and developed a buddy system for class members.
Shaista has many other talents and she is published poet who has authored her own book called Spiritually Fulfilled. During the year she shared a special poem for the class about sewing! She has her own YouTube channel showing her poetry videos, performed on international poetry slams and was asked to do a reading at a BAES award ceremony.
Shaista continues to look to increase her independent living and life skills and also boost her employment opportunities. During her time with us she has shown great progress in building her self-confidence and is now creating her own clothes designs.
