We are offering two new free qualification courses that will help you to get a job and then progress within the Health & Social Care sector.
These courses provide a perfect start for anyone who is interested in, or already has a job that offers personal care and support within the home to others.
Both of these qualification courses are taught through flexible online learning. This means that you choose when and where you learn and how quickly you complete the qualification. This method of learning is ideal if you are employed, or unemployed but with a lot of family commitments that prevent you from commiting to fixed study times.
Personal Care - Level 2
Who is it for?
This course is perfect for anyone who is interested in, or already has a job that offers the support of personal and private care within the home to others. A personal care job involves maintaining dignity, health and wellbeing by giving assistance with everyday tasks. This can include personal hygiene, dressing, make-up, shaving, haircare, toileting, support with moving position in bed.
The 6 units on the course are:
- Personal care
- How to support personal hygiene
- Footcare for individuals
- Support in maintaining oral hygiene
- Pressure area care
- Understanding sepsis

Leadership and Management - Level 3
Who is it for?
It is suitable for those who would like to progress in their current role within the personal care sector (Management, team leader, supervisors). Completing this course will enable you to formalise your current skills and grow as a leader, using your own knowledge, values and motivation.
