Studio Photography & Photoshop - Beginners
Course content
- Introduction to studio and lighting equipment (lights, reflectors, modifiers, gray card, light meter)
- Essential lighting patterns
- Use of the gray card and fixing white balance in Photoshop
- Practical applications using still life and models
- Post processing in Photoshop
This is a practical, hands-on course where a lot of content is presented in a six week course.
Do I need any knowledge, skills or qualifications?
Yes, basic computer skills are essential. Entry level 1 in literacy and numeracy(free help is available within BAES if required). At the start of this course, your tutor will carry out an initial assessment to check that the level is suitable for you. The learner should have a camera with manual controls and a hot shoe (ideally a system camera or DSLR) and have a good understanding of exposure and focus.
Will I gain any qualifications?
No, this a non-accredited course.

What could this course lead to?
This course provides a good base for learners to progress to qualifications at levels 1 or 2 in Digital Imaging / Editing.
