Course aims
- To improve circulation, flexibility, suppleness, strength, breathing, cardio-vascular activity, stamina and co-ordination.
- To warm muscles and mobilise joints.
- To be able to relax and focus the mind, alleviate stress, gain confidence and have fun.
- To learn the basics of body mechanics and body alignment and the effects of exercise on health and fitness.
Learning outcomes
- Develop/maintain strength and suppleness.
- Increased understanding of structure of the body.
- Develop the use of small apparatus to extend movement and add variety.
- Develop/maintain a sense of confidence and well being.
- Appreciation of the importance of warming up and cooling down.

Through tutor demonstrations and practical activities.

What materials or equipment will I need to provide?
Loose clothing (preferably layered), not restricted round waist, non-slip shoes and a drink.
